How AncestryScan Works
AncestryScan uses AI photo analysis to create an ancestry-style visual estimate/report from a single photograph:
- 1.Photo Check — Uses a clear, front-facing photo where the face is visible and evenly lit.
- 2.Visual Analysis — Reviews visible face photo patterns. This is not DNA sequencing or genetic analysis.
- 3.Reference Comparison — Compares visual signals against ancestry-style reference patterns to produce a directional estimate.
- 4.Report Generation — Creates a readable visual report with region-style and phenotype-style context.
- 5.Safety Context — Frames the result as an AI-powered estimate for curiosity and entertainment, not an official result.
Privacy & Data Handling
AncestryScan is designed with privacy as a core principle. The current Privacy Policy says facial images and derived face data are processed for the analysis session and are not retained after processing.
