About AncestryScan
AncestryScan is an AI-powered iOS app that analyzes a clear face photo and creates an ancestry-style visual estimate/report. Developed by XYK LLC in Seattle, Washington, it is built for curiosity, entertainment, and educational exploration. It is not a DNA test or official ancestry determination.
Unlike DNA-based ancestry services that require saliva samples and lab processing, AncestryScan works from a single photo. The app also includes dog and cat breed photo analysis features. The current Privacy Policy says facial images and derived face data are not retained after processing, and users should review the Privacy Policy for current legal details.
AncestryScan is free to download with a sample report; personal scans require credits. Additional scans are $2.99 each, with multi-packs available (5 for $9.99, 10 for $14.99).
